Melina Digital (hereinafter: “Melina Digital”) respects the privacy of
users, customers, course participants, clients, newsletter subscribers
and website visitors and processes personal data in accordance with
Regulation (EU) 2016/679 – the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR),
the Croatian Act on the Implementation of the General Data Protection
Regulation (Official Gazette No. 42/18), and other applicable laws and
regulations of the Republic of Croatia.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, the purposes
for which we use it, the legal basis for processing, with whom the data
may be shared, how long it is retained, and what rights you have regarding
your personal data.

Melina Digital does not collect or store complete payment card details.
Payments for digital products and online educational programmes are
processed by authorised payment service providers, such as Stripe.
4. PURPOSES AND LEGAL BASES FOR PROCESSING
Purchases of digital products, online courses and educational programmes
We process personal data in order to process orders and payments, issue
invoices, provide access to purchased content, communicate with customers
in relation to their purchase and fulfil our contractual obligations.
The legal basis for this processing is the performance of a contract
or taking steps at the request of the user prior to entering into a contract.
Provision of services
If you engage us for digital marketing, branding, marketing strategy,
web design, graphic design, digital visual design, newsletter design,
video editing, photography, consultations or other services offered
by Melina Digital, we process personal data for communication, preparation
of quotations, provision of the agreed services, payment and invoicing.
The legal basis is taking steps prior to entering into a contract,
performance of a contract and, where applicable, compliance with legal obligations.
Online courses, educational platform and Community
We process participants' personal data in order to provide access to
purchased educational programmes, user accounts, course content,
materials, the Community, support and other features included in the
purchased product.
The legal basis is the performance of a contract.
Free guides, materials and lead magnets
When you request a free guide, PDF, template or other digital material,
we may process the information required to deliver that content and
communicate with you in relation to the requested content.
If you separately subscribe to our newsletter or marketing communications,
such processing is carried out on the basis of your consent.
Newsletter and marketing communications
If you have given your consent to receive newsletters, news,
educational content and special offers, we use your e-mail address
and, where provided, your name for the purpose of sending such communications.
The legal basis for this processing is your consent.

Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing
carried out before the consent was withdrawn.

inquiry and provide the requested support.
The legal basis depends on the nature of the inquiry and may include
taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract,
performance of a contract, or our legitimate interest in responding

Contract withdrawal, refunds and complaints
If you submit a request for withdrawal from a contract, a refund request
or a written complaint, we process the information necessary to identify
the customer and the contract, process the request, communicate with you
and maintain evidence of receipt and handling of the request.
This may include your first and last name, e-mail address, invoice or
order number, product or service name, date of purchase and the date
and time the request was submitted.

and, depending on the nature of the request, performance of a contract.
Invoicing and business records
We process information required for issuing and retaining invoices
and other business records in order to comply with applicable legal,
accounting and tax obligations.

Melina Digital uses digital tools and automation in order to operate
online sales, educational programmes, forms, newsletters,
communications and other business processes.
Depending on the service you use, personal data may be processed
through platforms and service providers such as:
– Systeme.io – online sales, forms, educational programmes, user accounts and Community;
– Stripe – processing of online payments;
– MailerLite – newsletters and e-mail marketing;
– ManyChat – automated communication and content delivery through supported communication channels;
– Make – automation of business processes, including the transfer of data between connected systems;
– providers of web hosting, e-mail services and technical infrastructure;
– accounting and invoicing systems used by Melina Digital in the course of its business.
These service providers may process certain personal data to the extent
necessary to provide their respective services.
6. RECIPIENTS OF PERSONAL DATA
Melina Digital does not sell or rent personal data.
Personal data may be made available to trusted external service
providers only to the extent necessary for them to perform their tasks,

8. DATA RETENTION

Data relating to purchases, invoices and business records is retained
for the period required under applicable accounting, tax and other laws.

educational programme may be retained for the period during which the
user is entitled to access the purchased content and thereafter to the
extent necessary to establish the contractual relationship and protect

Data used for newsletters and other marketing communications is
processed until consent is withdrawn or the user unsubscribes, except
for information that needs to be retained in order to demonstrate that
consent was previously given or withdrawn.
Information contained in inquiries and customer communications is
retained for as long as necessary to resolve the inquiry and, where
justified, thereafter for the protection of legal interests.
After the applicable retention period expires, personal data is
deleted, anonymised or otherwise appropriately removed from active
processing, unless there is a legal basis for its continued retention.

Although we implement appropriate security measures, no method of
transmission or storage of data over the internet can guarantee
absolute security.

Melina Digital does not make decisions that produce legal effects
or similarly significantly affect users based solely on automated
